Who We Are

Anne Catherine Nielsen

EquaMagna, Founder
Anne Catherine has over 20 years’ experience working in the Hotel and Club Industry, in both operational and human resources roles. Her true passions are People Management, Innovation, and Training and Development for increased Organizational Performance.
She is the founder of EquaMagna, a boutique human resources consultancy. EquaMagna provides HR Outsourcing, HR Consulting, Staffing, and Executive Search services.
Most recently, she served as Director of Human Resources at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y. At WCC she implemented human capital solutions in support of recruitment, payroll and benefit management. She negotiated union contracts and led strategic initiatives in the fields of employee engagement, training, and performance management, in addition to, on and off boarding 500+ staff members per year.
Anne Catherine Nielsen started her career in real estate and hotel operations in Europe and moved to the US in 1997. She worked in Operations and Human Resources for several Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties in New York City. She was a member of the team that launched Starwood’s Global Six Sigma and Organizational Learning Initiative for five years prior to joining the Westchester Country Club.
She is a Six Sigma Black Belt, and Senior Professional in Human Resources certified by SHRM, the Society of Human Resource Management. She holds a Masters in Hospitality Management from IMHI, a Graduate Business School, jointly administered by Cornell University’s school of Hotel Administration in the US and ESSEC in Paris, France.

EquaMagna was created to cater to People focused industries such as Hotels, Private Clubs, Restaurants and other businesses, seeking to provide their organizations with state-of-the-art Human Resources Business solutions without necessarily having a dedicated HR function or with limited Human Resources, and in need of completing targeted projects or initiatives.
EquaMagna provides talent acquisition and executive search services. EquaMagna also provides client support for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation projects that may require change management and employee education.
